Kollath-Stensaas Publishing is a small press specializing in natural history field guides for the North Woods of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. Our books are designed for the serious naturalist as well as the casual nature lover. You could say we publish the books we'd like to have ourselves!

Located in beautiful Duluth, Minnesota on the shores of Lake Superior, we are surrounded by natural inspiration as well as a wealth of talented authors, photographers and artists.

We began in 1999 with the publishing of our bestseller, Rock Picker's Guide to Lake Superior's North Shore and have not looked back. Recently, Dragonflies of the North Woods by Kurt Mead won the prestigious National Outdoor Book Award.
